Could polyester be better than cotton?

Could polyester be better than cotton?
So let's start with the basic differences between cotton and polyester:

Cotton - belongs to natural materials, it is made of the fiber surrounding the plant of the same name, it is used to produce a soft fabric, it has strong absorption properties.

Polyester - a synthetic material, characterized by high durability, resistant to UV radiation, dries quickly

It is generally accepted that cotton is a much better material for our body used in the production of clothing, therefore it is often bought more willingly by customers.
It is also often said that in artificial fabrics such as polyester we sweat more, that these materials stick to the skin more and are more airtight.
Cotton wins against this statement. However, is it true?

To answer this question, let's look at the athletes who run and exercise every day in clothes, surprisingly, made of polyester.
Why is it like that? Because the polyester that is used in their clothes is much better than cotton.

The best polyester is the one we use!

The material we use is not a first-choice, cheapest polyester available on the market.

Now let's take a look at how the material made of decent polyester worked.
Dries quickly: Unlike cotton, polyester isn’t absorbent.
Synthetic material does not absorb moisture (thanks to this, there will be no huge patches of sweat on the material) - it is often said that the material "breathes".
Sweat escapes in the form of steam, which is possible due to the fact that the polyester material does not soak up moisture.
Less fading: Polyester holds dye well to prevent fading. High-quality polyester holds its shape well and doesn't shrink.

I think you can see now that the polyester we know today is much better than the one produced in the past. Its properties make it even better than cotton.

In summary, the polyester that we use to make our sacred vestments is lighter than cotton, stronger and easier to maintain, making them more comfortable.

We placed an order for shipment to the U.S. under $800 to avoid triggering customs scrutiny. The price of shipping was reasonable, the passage through customs handled for us, and the items arrived within 2 days of the estimated arrival date that was given at the time the order was placed. Thanks! Our Deacon has not inspected the product yet but dalmatics look good so far.

Everything was speedy and well done. However, I ordered 2 altar server robes, one 164cm and one 170cm. What arrived were two 170cm even though one was packaged and labelled as 164cm. We can use both but I wanted to say this because it is a fault in the order handling.
